MOTHGLASS LEDGER — free demo — version 1.0 By Mikael Hagalund (MikaelHa) Unzip and open index.html in a browser. This demo includes two complete authored folios, an ending, free hints, undo, backup import/export and optional sound (off initially). The full game contains eight authored folios. Proposed full-game page: https://mikaelha.itch.io/mothglass-ledger Place five objects and the Empty plinth token once each across the display. Exactly one printed statement is wrong. Mark that line, make every other statement fit your arrangement, then File this folio. A1–A3 are the top shelf; B1–B3 the bottom. Edge neighbors share a side; diagonals do not count. Empty plinth is a token to place, not an unfinished slot. Click a token, then a plinth. Already placed tokens swap with the destination. 1–6 select a token; Tab focuses controls; arrows move across focused plinths; Enter places; Delete/Backspace lifts a focused token. Undo, clear and hints cost nothing. See the in-game guide for the complete rules. Pointer lifting: choose the token already on the intended plinth, click that plinth, then use Lift. Clicking with a different chosen token places or swaps it. Keyboard focus via Tab/arrows selects a plinth without placing; press Delete there to lift its token, without pressing Enter on the plinth. This turn-based game has no clock or progress while away. A new catalogue name remixes identities and clue order within the same two demo structures; it does not create unlimited new logical cases. New catalogue and restoring a backup both ask before replacing progress. The demo has its own save key and format, separate from the full game, and contains none of the other six full-game folios. Demo and full progress cannot be imported into each other. Play needs no account, connection or installation and makes no runtime network requests. An optional purchase-page link opens a website only when you choose it. Save backup is useful before clearing browser data. Local-file storage, downloads and sound may vary by browser; if autosave is unavailable, the session still works, but export before closing. This is an HTML5 game, not a native/mobile package, and no universal device compatibility is promised. Original code, writing and vector art were developed with AI assistance. See LICENSE.txt. A free demo is not a grant to redistribute the files or reuse game code/art. The readable JavaScript is part of the standalone HTML; the separate editable authoring project is not included.
